PLAYING AT NORTH OXFORD Golf Club -

Here is some additional information to help you prepare for your visit.

Access to the Course

Visitors are welcome, matches can be arranged by calling the Professional Shop on 01865 553977 or the Office on 01865 554924. Access to availability for playing the course is in accordance with the Bye-Laws and is dependent on the club competitions and fixture list etc.,

Bar and Catering

The summer opening times for the Clubhouse: 8.00am till late. The Bar hours are 11.30am till late. Catering is available from 9.30am till 8.30pm for a range of snacks and hot meals. Coffee and a snack can also be purchased at the half way house.

Dress Code (Bye-Law No 3)

  • On the Course - Each player must have their own equipment, wear golf shoes and appropriate golf attire.
  • In the Clubhouse - All Guests, Visitors, Companies and Society Members are required to wear clean and dry attire and footwear.
  • Tracksuits, shell suits, trainers or golf shoes are not allowed in the Clubhouse.
  • Tailored shorts only on the course and in the Clubhouse. Shorts intended for other sports are prohibited.

Visitors are requested to use the locker rooms to change their shoes and refrain from changing in the car park.

Locker Rooms

Showers are available in the ladies and men's locker rooms.

Security

  • For your safety and security CCTV covers the car park.
  • On arrival please call in at the Professional shop for the entry code to the locker rooms.

Slow Play

Please be aware that slow play can seriously upset the enjoyment of other players.

Players are asked that they do not hold up those behind. If a match loses more than a complete hole to the match in front, they should give the following players the option to play through.

Tees

For the men there are White and Yellow tees and Red Tees for ladies.

Trolley/Equipment Hire

  • Manual trolleys can be hired from the Professional shop.
  • Own electric buggies by prior arrangement.
  • Golf clubs can be hired from the Professional shop.

Use of Mobile Phones

For the convenience of other members and visitors mobile phone use is not permitted in the Clubhouse except in the lobby and the locker rooms. All members and guests are requested to switch their phones to silent whilst in the vicinity of the dining and bar areas of the Clubhouse. Mobiles can be taken on to the course to be used as a safety precaution only.
