Company / Society - Terms & Conditions

Applicable Terms

To avoid any misunderstanding all bookings made by a company, group or individual of whatever type ("The Company/Society") is subject to these Terms and Conditions.

Booking Confirmation

  • All bookings are provisional unless confirmed by The Company/Society in writing and acknowledge by NORTH OXFORD Golf Club and until a deposit or advance payment is received and a receipt has been sent to The Company or Society.

Booking Confirmation details

  • The Company/Society Booking Form must be completed showing the person ("The Organiser") with full responsibility for the booking.
  • Full contact details, date of the function, approximate number of players ("The Guests"), time required and an indication of catering requirements must be given.
  • Signature of acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Size of Parties

  • A minimum number of sixteen players are required.
  • Parties of less than sixteen can reserve a date but not a tee time.

Final Numbers

  • To finalise catering requirements, final attendance numbers must be given to the Administration Manager five days prior to the event.
  • Parties arriving with fewer players will be expected to pay the relevant catering charges.

Terms of Payment

  • A provisional booking will be held for 28 days unless confirmed in writing and a deposit received.
  • A deposit of £100 (single cheque made payable to NORTH OXFORD Golf Club) will be required to confirm the booking.
  • Balance of payment is required two weeks prior to the event.

Pricing

  • All prices are liable to fluctuate and prices will only be guaranteed until 31 st March 2009.
  • All prices are subject to government changes on taxation, even if the booking has been confirmed in writing

Dress Code (Bye-Law No 3)

  • On the Course - Each player must have their own equipment, wear golf shoes and appropriate golf attire.
  • In the Clubhouse - all Guests, Visitors, Companies and Society Members are required to wear clean and dry attire and footwear.
  • Track suits, shell suits, trainers or golf shoes are not allowed in the Clubhouse.
  • Tailored shorts only on the course and in the clubhouse. Shorts intended for other sports are prohibited.

Visitors are requested to use the locker rooms to change their shoes and refrain from changing in the car park.

Format of Play

  • Sorry - No Texas Scrambles accepted.
  • To ensure all playing requirements are met the format type and competition must be notified to the Administration Manager one month prior to the date of the event.

Conduct

  • To ensure the safety and well being of the staff on duty, the security of the venue and its visitors and members The Organiser shall take responsibility for the orderly conduct of the visiting Guests.
  • The Organiser shall ensure that all of their party will not cause a nuisance or infringe any licensing laws, Club rules and regulations and Bye-Laws.

Disabled Parking

  • The Organiser will notify the Administration Manager of any extra parking needs in advance of the event.
  • The Organiser will also notify the Administration Manager of any special requirements for any member of their party.

Mobile Phones

For the convenience of other members and visitors mobile phone use is not permitted in the Clubhouse except in the lobby and the locker rooms. All members and guests are requested to switch their phones to silent whilst in the vicinity of the dining and bar areas of the Clubhouse. Mobiles can be taken on to the course to be used as a safety precaution only.
